Little did I know at the time, but that was actually Graphic Design.
Although I do a great deal of WEB design I love PRINT design too! I began college internships when the internet was still a baby so web design wasn’t very prominent. I was trained in print and in my own time I learned about web design. Today this is beneficial for me because I understand both world of digital and print. I don’t think I could ever choose one – I love them both! I purchased my first domain in 2002 and haven’t looked back!
I studied Visual Communications at SUNY Orange in New York State and then obtained a BFA in Graphic Design at New Jersey City University.
I had a few odd print and web design related jobs after completing school. Prior to “going freelance” I was a Web Designer for an eCommerce website – Buttons.com. I was a huge vessel in bringing their eCommerce website to life. They were originally a b2b company and in 2014 we launched their b2c website on the Volusion platform. I did a complete re-design of the site template and organized the structure of all the product categories. I also handled other tasks such as social media, print design and packaging design. I wore many hats but this allowed me to gain experience in many design and ecommerce related areas.
I am currently working as a Freelance Graphic and Web Designer in Bergen County, New Jersey.
